Civil Engineering Airport Intern

Provo City is seeking two engineering interns to support the development of the Provo Airport expansion. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working at an airport in an engineering role.

Pay : $16.50 - $20.25 per hour (depending on experience)

Work on civil design projects in the Airport Department.

Monitor and document construction progress.

Assist other department employees as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Bonafide student in an undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field or recent graduate.

Experience with Auto CAD and GIS / CAD related systems.

Valid, lawful driver license.

Average of 25 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, flexible between 7 : 00 a.m. and 6 : 00 p.m.

This role requires working both in and out of doors in a variety of weather conditions and for extended periods of time on a computer. May also involve exposure to high-stress situations or environments, including contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
