Video Editor

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Video Editor for a fully remote opportunity with our client, a leading broadcast television and radio network. This is a 6-month+ contract role based in New York, NY, with preference for candidates who can work Eastern Time hours.

In this role, you will join the Creative Team to assemble recorded footage, apply on-screen graphics and visual elements, and deliver polished video content across a variety of digital platforms.

Video Editor Responsibilities :

Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging video content for web, social media, podcasts, and other platforms.

Collaborate with Producers, Marketers, and Designers to ensure visual consistency and script clarity.

Add music, sound effects, graphics, text overlays, and transitions.

Color correct, grade, and optimize footage for different channels and resolutions.

Video Editor Qualifications :

Experience as a Video Editor.

Portfolio or Reel is required.

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Blender.

Experience with social media video format platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).

Experience working in a broadcast or digital news / current events program.
