Digital Strategy Director
The Digital Strategy Director oversees the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive omnichannel strategies for clients in the life sciences and biopharma sectors. This strategic leader plays a critical role in helping clients bring modern, data-driven marketing to lifeboth at the brand level and by supporting Centers of Excellence (COEs) in building scalable capabilities and frameworks that enable omnichannel marketing across portfolios. As a key contributor to CG Life's new business efforts, this role also supports growth by shaping strategic narratives and presenting compelling digital strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Additionally, the Digital Strategy Director collaborates closely with partners across brand strategy, creative, content, analytics, and technology to ensure integrated engagement planning and execution. While not directly responsible for brand positioning or messaging architecture, this role is pivotal in translating those foundational elements into connected, insight-driven customer engagement plans across channels. This includes defining audience strategies, channel mix recommendations, experience flows, and performance frameworks that drive measurable impact and market relevance.

- Establishes the agency as a trusted strategic partner by leading day-to-day client strategy, relationship management, and strategic counsel.
- Leads the development of omnichannel strategies that align brand objectives with audience needs and channel best practices, forming the foundation for measurable engagement.
- Acts as a strategic consultant, guiding clients in leveraging data, insights, and analytics to design, activate, and scale customer-centric marketing programs.
- Supports the Account team in understanding client goals and offerings, helping shape marketing direction through innovative, insight-driven solutions.
- Translates strategic insights into actionable campaign roadmaps, leading tactical planning and ongoing optimization to ensure cohesive execution.
- Facilitates workshops, client meetings, and presentations to shape strategic direction, communicate recommendations, and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communicates and defends strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively to clients, ensuring buy-in and understanding at all levels.
- Applies expertise in omnichannel engagement planningincluding journey mapping, segmentation, content strategy, and channel orchestrationto inform experience design.
- Partners with CXOE, technology, and analytics teams to guide or support implementation of CRM, marketing automation, and personalization platforms that enable scalable, data-driven engagement.
- Identifies opportunities to expand agency capabilities within client accounts, driving organic growth and contributing to revenue goals through cross-sell strategies.
- Secures new strategic initiatives by contributing to and delivering compelling business proposals and pitch presentations.
- Collaborates with internal teams to develop single-minded strategies, creative briefs, and supporting materials rooted in discovery and research.
- Develops strategy decks and other deliverables that translate client needs and insights into clear, actionable plans.
- Stays current on evolving platforms, modern marketing trends, and implications for client strategies.
