Present facilitative, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus and school policies. Consistently demonstrate the highest levels of integrity. Promote student development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making. Manage classroom effectively to ensure course material is covered in a thorough and well-planned manner.
Job Duties
- Instruct students in Massage Therapy according to the course lesson plan.
- Provide student with timely feedback on his / her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects.
- Provide a rich and rewarding experience for students. Provide clear boundaries and set expectations to establish consequences for failure to meet classroom requirements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance.
- Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all school policies, and actively participate in their implementation and enforcement.
- Follow all retention policies of the school to ensure students are in attendance.
Qualifications :
Massage Therapy certification from a 500 hour program (minimum)California Massage Therapy Council Certified or have passed one of the exams from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB)A minimum of 2 years of related field experience. Highly positive and self-motivated individual.Must be proficient with the use of computers to enter grades and attendance electronicallyMust be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with a diverse staff and student populationAbility to manage key metricsMust possess excellent oral and written communication skills
