Standard II : Patient Flow - Anticipate and plan for patient admission, discharge, and transfer to enhance workflow. Standard III : Unit Operations - Direct and evaluate nursing care functions, ensuring optimal resource utilization and training for team members. Standard IV : Safe Practice - Incorporate safety guidelines to promote a secure environment and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to clinical policies and standards, contributing to improvements in procedures. Maintain accurate patient documentation across electronic and paper formats. Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, educating patients on its safe use. Process medical orders efficiently, understanding common errors and appropriate corrections. Interpret patient charts accurately and respond swiftly to any discrepancies. Ensure safety within patient groups, responding appropriately to safety inquiries. Education : Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience in Critical Care and an additional specialty (e.g., Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC, or Emergency) required; 5 years preferred. Licenses / Certifications : BLS, ACLS required; RN License in the relevant state or compact; PALS and NRP required for positions at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital.

As an experienced RN, you will utilize your nursing skills to develop care plans, manage patient needs, and adapt swiftly to changing situations while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities :
- Exhibit competencies as a leader in your practice, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability within the organization.
- Provide regular availability for a diverse range of patient assignments.
- Deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, addressing complex psychological, emotional, and social patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, and the care provided to ensure seamless communication across the healthcare team.
- Assess patient and family learning needs, ensuring effective education and resource identification.
