Purpose

This role is responsible to lead / organize / coordinate the programs, processes, systems, internal and external relationships required to support the Company Retirement and Saving Programs (401K, Cash Balance, FAP, DPSP and SERP). Assists the Sr Manager, Benefits & Pension and Sr Director, Total Rewards with assessing existing programs, aligning, developing and implementing new programs, processes and systems as required and ensuring compliance. Completes all reconciliations and audits associated with these programs.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible to ensure the programs, respective policies, plan documents, contracts, communication, processes and systems are continuously updated to ensure legislative compliance
  • Responsible to ensure the accurate, efficient and execution of the Retirement and Saving Administration to meet service standard excellence.  Develop, improve and maintain the processes, systems and service agreements to support the agreed service standards, contractual changes, plan amendments, for any new and existing programs
  • Lead all related audits, ensure accurate and timely legislative filling and reporting.  Responsible for reconciliation of all data between organizational and vendor systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.  Participation in the Employee Benefit Adminstration Committee meetings and the organization and follow through of any required committee actions.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance and execution of an organization wide communication / information strategy(s), tools and campaigns to help employees understand  their retirement and saving programs and support the Total Reward philosophy.  Assist with competitive benchmarking exercises, development of new programs, recommendations, integration and alignment of existing programs
  • Provide vendor management to all external vendors; monitor, resolve issues and proactively establish procedures and maintain effective relationships.  Provide and transfer subject matter knowledge to enable cross population and support a team environment.  Assist with employee queries.
  • Assist as needed with Acquisition activities
  • Assist as needed with any rate case requests

Education and Experience

  • University - Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 - 10  years’ experience : Retirement and Saving Programs Vendor Management or Retirement / Saving
  • Administration experience and understanding of retirement and saving products, administration best practice,  market and program implementation
  • Understanding of relevant legislation
  • Strong relationship management, project management, and change management skills
  • Good communication skills, written and presentation
  • Experience with Ceridian People Power and payroll systems
