Job Description Summary

#TeamAAM is looking for an Associate Controls Engineer to join our Driveline team in Three Rivers Michigan. This is an off-shift fully onsite role. Training will take place on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift.

The Associate Controls Engineer assists in the design testing installation and maintenance of large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing. They follow established and defined processes and procedures to complete basic projects and solve problems of limited scope.

Job Description

• Assists in evaluating control systems products components and applications.
• Assists in evaluating new manufacturing and control technologies adapting into specifications as appropriate.
• Confirms control system functionality including appropriate safety compliance by designing and / or executing test procedures.
• Assists in the review of layout and electrical drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components materials and suppliers.
• Ensures integrity of process and build data collection.
• Provides information to manufacturing process and other engineering disciplines by answering questions and requests.
• Keeps equipment operating by performing periodic audits; troubleshooting breakdowns; requesting supplies; defining and reviewing preventive maintenance plans; calling for repairs; and implementing process improvements.
• Maintains project documents using approved methodology tools and templates.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

High School Diploma or GED.

1 year(s) of relevant manufacturing experience.

Availability and willingness to adopt a flexible work schedule; this includes working any shift overtime and weekends as requested.
