About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Securities Settlement Risk and Control. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive risk assessments, managing the lifecycle of control issues, and conducting in-depth analysis of operational risk events. This role requires the ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls within the securities settlement lifecycle, as well as the capacity to advise management on the application of firm-wide policies and standards. Interaction with various teams, including 1LOD, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit, is a key aspect of the position. Applicants should have a minimum of 5-8 years' of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions within the financial services industry. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are essential, with a demonstrated ability to engage at the senior management level. The role also involves the management of multiple tasks and priorities, and knowledge of Japanese or Spanish is advantageous. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. The ideal candidate will be a high-caliber professional with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the company's risk and control framework.
