Duration : 8+ Months Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Content Writer to craft clear, accurate, and engaging content for public-facing websites. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex information into content that resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining brand consistency and optimizing for performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on relevant topics and benchmark strategies from other states or agencies.

Define and execute content strategies that present complex information in a clear, usable manner.

Write, edit, and fact-check web content prior to publication.

Collaborate with UI / UX designers, developers, business analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with audience needs.

Apply branding standards to maintain consistency in tone and style.

Edit content for grammar, clarity, tone, and engagement.

Review and enhance website performance, design, SEO, and user experience.

Provide ongoing updates, dynamic content refreshes, and recommendations.

Manage multiple content projects and meet tight deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in web content writing or digital marketing.

Strong knowledge of SEO , content strategy, web editing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

5+ years in content planning and performance tracking.

Proven writing, editing, and storytelling expertise with a strong portfolio.

4+ years in copywriting and proofreading.

2+ years with basic graphic editing skills (Photoshop / Illustrator).

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in early childhood care and education content.

Strong collaboration skills for working across agencies and organizations.
