Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for a Revenue Service Agent to service, collect and secure all cash collected from the Ticket Vending Machine’s (TVM). The incumbent in the position is responsible for reloading money into the TVMs, along with counting funds from the train and bus system. Revenue Service Agents work under the direct supervision of the Revenue Service Supervisor to support daily cash handling activities and ensures proper handling and servicing of all mobile vaults and TVMs.

This position’s responsibilities include :

  • Reviews TVM reports prior to departing the money room to determine which TVMs are to be serviced.
  • Prepares revenue truck and its equipment to ensure equipment needed for revenue collection is complete before leaving the vault room.
  • Removes bill and coin vaults from TVMs, secures cashboxes and replenishes bills and coins, as needed.
  • Loads and secures cashboxes to transport to the money room.
  • Checks TVMs to ensure they are in proper working condition. Performing light maintenance, as needed.
  • Ensures that data uploads to the fare box are successfully completed.
  • Reports major defects to the supervisor and Electronics shop, as needed.
  • Properly install cashbox to ensure that TVM is reading the cashbox and is working properly.
  • Generates daily reports of the collection, accounting, inventory and deposit of revenue received in the buses and TVMs.
  • Operate / drive department vehicle to various locations in the course of fare collection.
  • Makes recommendations to management to improve operations, decrease inefficiencies and streamline work processes; work cooperatively with all customers, internal and external.
  • Participates in company community activities to promote transit on off duty hours with supervisor / manager approval
  • Helps finance department at corporate office located at 801 Grove St. with multiple tasks.
  • Must have reliable transportation to go between both office locations
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Maintains confidential information.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

EXPERIENCE

One year of cash handling experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

EDUCATION

High School Graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Any combination of experience, training and / or education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may substitute for the required education
