About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and guide the organization in its mission to advance child health and support pediatricians. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, members, and partners to drive strategic priorities, ensure financial stewardship, and foster impactful programs that benefit children and families. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic visions and goals, leading a team to fulfill the organization's mission, and overseeing financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue development. The Executive Director will also be responsible for advocacy, external relations, member engagement, and program and operations oversight. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree in a related field preferred, and at least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or similarly complex organization. The role requires a proven track record in strategic planning, board relations, and leading high-performing teams, as well as exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in policy awareness, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A strong background in financial management and the ability to lead a remote team are also essential. The Executive Director will be expected to travel within the state and occasionally out of state, including overnight stays.
