Systems Engineer (Proposal Writing)

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has immediate openings for Mid-level Systems Engineers with experience writing technical documentation in response to proposals. You will be a member of a cross functional engineering team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system.

Required Skills

• Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret (security clearance is preferred at time of hire)
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of proposal development processes and best practices (e.g., Shipley, APMP).
• Familiarity with government contracts and acquisition processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with defense and aerospace industry standards and practices.
