Intern - Quality

The Quality Assurance Intern assists with quality standards by assisting the Quality Manager & Quality Specialist on performing various inspection procedures on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. This position helps ensure that products meet or exceed internal requirements and customer standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

• Conducts visual and measurement quality tests per corporate standards, specifications, and codes.
• Performs quality tests using a wide variety of inspection / test equipment including, but not limited to : dial calipers, hardness, pin and thread gauges, and tensile testing equipment.
• Keeps testing / measurement equipment in working order following operating instructions / manuals.
• Documents inspection results and enters, maintains, or updates data in required logs / spreadsheets.
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to company rules and policies and complying with legal regulations.
• Communicates information on quality trends and issues to immediate supervisor.
• Assists with simple engineering projects when required.
• Prepares and provides required reports / documentation for internal and external audits.
