Schedule : Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
Description of Position :
Our client is seeking a Senior Office Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, punctual, and reliable, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment. This position requires flexibility, attention of detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service both internally and to the public.
Job Responsibilities :
Customer Service and Reception
- Answer phones and assist walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Review, log, and distribute incoming mail (including applications with checks)
- Provide information and assistance to customers and district constituents, coordinating with district staff as needed
- Handle cash transactions and issue receipts
Operational Support
Monitor multiple calendars for conference rooms, board chambers, and hearing roomsAssist with records retention and warehouse organizationMaintain and service copy and fax machines; order supplies and submit service tickets as necessaryAbility to lift up to 20 lbsAdministrative Support
Process and log incoming claims, appeals, and legal recordsAssist with parking coordinating and processing invoices / claims using SAPSupport daily operations by resolving administrative or operational issuesCross-train staff for coverage responsibilitiesDescription of Company :
You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Sacramento County.
Experience Required :
Proven experience as an administrative or office assistant, preferable in a public agencyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office technologiesDemonstrated ability to adapt, prioritize, and manage multiple interruptions effectivelyAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism
