Hiring Host / Hostess for Fall / Winter Season

Host

We are seeking customer service-oriented, experienced, and organized Hosts to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in welcoming and accommodating guests, ensuring a smooth and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. You will uphold all health and safety procedures and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

Reports Directly To : Restaurant Manager

Job Requirements :

Responsible for greeting guests warmly and efficiently, adhering to Marufuku standards of service and hospitality.

Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments to ensure effective guest flow and minimal wait times.

Provide outstanding communication and organizational skills in all guest interactions and restaurant operations.

Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Restaurant Manager, team members, and guests.

Anticipate guest needs and address special seating requests as necessary to enhance their experience.

Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and providing accurate information about the restaurant and menu.

Due to staffing demands and other operational necessities, you may be asked to perform different functions and are expected to help others as needed.

Ensure the restaurant lobby and entrance are welcoming, tidy, and legally compliant with all health, workplace, and safety regulations.

Reports Directly To : Restaurant Manager

Physical Requirements :

Standing, walking, exposure to temperature changes, climbing ladders, squatting / kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing / pulling, twisting / bending, lifting / carrying / pushing / pulling including items weighing more than 50 pounds on occasion.

Please note that this position requires working outdoors for extended periods, regardless of weather conditions, as part of regular duties.

Attendance Requirements for this position :

Additional hours are required to meet the deadlines of the position, including weekends and / or holidays.

Job Type :

Part-time, weekend availability is a must.

Compensation : 16 / hour
