Summary : Provides personal care services, supervision and domestic housekeeping services, and implements activities for residents in accordance with state regulations.

Essential Functions :

All essential functions must be performed in accordance with State regulations and the manual of Operating Policies & Procedures of Self-Help for the Elderly Residential Care Facilities and other locations.

1. Personal Care and Supervision

• Performs personal care services such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and transferring residents. Transferring may involve lifting residents from bed to chair or chair to toilet / commode.
• Performs laundry services - washes, dries, and folds residents' clothes, sheets, towels, and other items as required.
• Assists residents with medication.
• Assists with routine and prescribed exercises or therapy.
• Engages residents in daily activities and group exercises in accordance with the activity schedule; assists residents in performing exercises as needed.
• Responds promptly to the buzzer system and provides appropriate assistance to visitors.
• Escorts residents to medical appointments and field trips as required.
• Observes and monitors residents' condition, including vital signs, and reports any changes to the supervisor.
• Prepares reports on the condition of residents and notifies the Director promptly in case of emergency, unusual incident, or alleged abuse.
