Summary :
As a Senior RF Assembler at Mission Microwave, you’ll leverage your deep hands‑on experience in radio‑frequency hardware assembly to build and troubleshoot high‑precision RF and microwave assemblies for defense, space, and satellite communications applications. You’ll serve as a technical mentor for our RF Assembly team, ensuring quality, repeatability, and compliance with ITAR and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Precision Assembly & Soldering
- Interpret RF / microwave schematics, drawings and work instructions
- Perform fine‑pitch SMT and through‑hole soldering, wave soldering, and mechanical assembly to IPC‐A‐610 Class 3 standards
Process Improvement & Documentation
Author and update work instructions, assembly travelers, and process checklistsParticipate in root‐cause investigations and implement corrective / preventive actions (CAPAs)Mentorship & Training
Coach and train RF Assemblers (Levels I–III) in advanced techniques, safety protocols, and quality expectationsConduct skill assessments and provide constructive feedbackQuality & Compliance
Enforce ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR requirements on the production floorPerform in‑process inspections and final visual / audible QC reviewsCross‐Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Test, and Quality teams to support new product introductions and design changesProvide assembly feedback during design‑for‑manufacturability (DFM) reviewsQualifications :
5+ years in RF / microwave assembly or similar high‑precision electronics manufacturingProficient in IPC‐A‐610 Class 3 soldering criteriaKnowledge and use of lab tools related to testing of RF and electrical systemsExperience setting up and executing RF performance tests (VSWR, insertion loss, return loss) with network analyzers, power meters, and spectrum analyzersAbility to record, analyze, and document test data, and to identify and troubleshoot any deviationsExceptional attention to detail and manual dexterityKnowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office softwareStrong communication skills; both verbal and writtenAbility to communicate at all levels of the organizationAbility to effectively present information and respond to questionsSelf-motivatedAbility to work in a fast paced environmentSense of ownership and responsibilityAbility to work with discretion and confidentialityEducation, Experience and / or Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in Electronics Technology or related field preferredIPC J‑STD‑001 and / or IPC A‑610 certification a strong plus
