A recognized healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician to join their staff as their newChief of Hematology Oncology.

About the Opportunity :

Responsibilities :

TheChief of Hematology Oncology will be responsible for :

Providingdirect patient care and often overseeing complex cases, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate and up-to-date treatments available

Engaging in clinical research and participating in clinical trials to advance the understanding of hematological and oncological conditions and to explore new treatment options

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hematology and oncology department, which includes managing clinical staff, nurses, and support personnel

Managing the department's budget, including allocating resources for staffing, equipment, research, and other needs

Implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines

Developing and executing strategic plans for the department's growth and development, including expanding services, acquiring advanced technologies, and enhancing patient access

Supervising and mentoring medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the field of hematology and oncology

Pursuing grant opportunities and securing funding for research projects within the department

Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

Board Eligible / Certified

Academic residency or fellowship and worked in academics

Experience inBone Marrow Biopsies
