As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within an educational location. Your visible presence and exceptional communication skills will support a welcoming environment for all. You will conduct routine patrols and provide outstanding customer service, while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards encountered during patrols.

Communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance and guidance as needed.

Document incidents and maintain accurate records in accordance with Allied Universal and client site protocols.

Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as required during incidents and / or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
