ABOUT THE ROLE
Hey there, code ninja! Are you ready to join the goodr crew and help us create eye-catching, user-friendly web experiences that make people say, “Wowza!”?
We’re on the lookout for a Part-Time Front-End Developer who’s as passionate about awesome design as we are about our sunglasses. This role is on the UX / UI team, and will be responsible for maintaining and executing web site changes faster than you can say, “$25 active eyewear for everyone”!
NOTE : This position is part-time with a maximum of 29 hours a week and is required to be on site every Tuesday from 9 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain goodr website, supporting any improvements or changes as requestedTranslate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality codeTest and debug to ensure the best user experienceEnsure cross-browser compatibility and resolve any issues as they ariseOptimize components for maximum performanceIdentifies new technologies that can add additional visual display capabilities and enhance site usabilityStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trendsWork closely with the rest of the UX team on any website needs or projectsBasically crushing the heck out of our front-end development initiativesThis role is in the Design / UX team and will report directly to the Director of DesignPerform other related duties as assignedABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
May or may not have a degree...we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)Loves everything aboveAsks a lot of questions2+ years of front-end web experience coding in HTML, CSS , and JavascriptExperience with Shopify is a MUSTKnowledge of front end frameworks is requiredExperience with Figma (even better if you know dev mode!)Strong understanding of responsive design principlesSolid understanding of the full software development life cycle, from ideation to releaseCan write code with their eyes closedUnderstands basic design conceptsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skillsDependable with the willingness to take the initiative to work collaboratively and with a sense of urgencyStrong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitudeLoves getting and giving feedbackIs into personal growthThinks Fun is being great (not partying)Is proactive and an independent problem solver!
