Motor Vehicle Technician Position
Do you enjoy assisting a variety of people each day? Then consider applying for a Motor Vehicle Technician position with the Draper (South Valley) Motor Vehicle Division (DMV) office. You must be current on your state and federal tax filings and pass an FBI level criminal background check.
Job Duties
- Issue license plates, permits, registrations, certificates, etc.
- Receive, research and respond to incoming questions or complaints; provide information, explain policy and procedures, and / or facilitate a resolution.
- Process transactions at a Point of Sale system, give correct change and close cash drawer at the end of shift.
- Assist the public and others to complete forms, applications and other paperwork.
- Examine documents to verify applicability, legibility, completeness, accuracy, and / or consistency of information from one document to another.
- Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, verbally; read and understand information presented in writing as well.

Non-state employees are hired for this position at $19.20 an hour. We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts. DHRM rules apply for promotions / transfers for current state employees.
