Job Title : - Production Supervisor

Duration : - 12- Months- position (May go Longer)

Location : - Wyoming, Michigan

Standard Shift :

Daily Schedule / Shift Monday-Friday. Candidates need to be flexible to work either. This role is NOT a rotating shift.

The candidates will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to meetings and 30 minutes post shift to recap the day.

Weekend work will depend on their department. Currently working 2 weekends on, 1 weekend off.

Shifts will not rotate each week. But they may need to work on either shift throughout the duration of the assignment or cover for call offs or emergencies.

3rd Shift : 10pm to 6 : 30am

2nd Shift : 2pm-10pm

Job Responsibilities :

The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

Skills :

  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • Education / Experience :

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years experience required.
  • Highest Level of Education : High School Diploma or GED.
  • Years of Manufacturing Automotive and Leadership Experience : 3 years of experience. People with military backgrounds have succeeded well for us in the past.
  • Time Management

    Experience leading and building relations. How the candidate delt with conflicts… not just escalating to their leader

    Heat Treat background or experience is NOT a MUST HAVE, but nice to have. The manager mentioned there could be additional options that would require heat treat. Experience or knowledge.
