Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Technical Writer

to create and maintain clear, accurate documentation for our window and door products. This role supports customers, installers, sales teams, and internal staff by delivering user-friendly technical content.

About the Position

Develop installation guides, product specs, troubleshooting manuals, maintenance instructions, and sales support materials

Collaborate with engineering, product development, sales, and manufacturing teams to gather technical data

Tailor content for diverse audiences including installers, contractors, homeowners, and internal teams

Maintain and update documentation for consistency and brand alignment

Create basic diagrams and visuals to support written content

Edit and proofread for clarity, accuracy, and style compliance

Integrate feedback to improve documentation quality

Follow and help refine documentation standards and templates

Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent working experience in a related field

3 years’ technical writing experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction

Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CMS, and graphic design is a plus

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently or in a team

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $80,000 and $115,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to : relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and / or education.
