Armed Security Guard
The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location.
Responsibilities include :
- Communicating via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders.
- Interacting and escorting as required with public and government personnel.
- Providing access control, traffic control, and conducting walking and motorized armed security functions.
- Following applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property, and equipment.
- Conducting personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks and package and parcel inspection.
- Being able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include :
High School Diploma or GED.Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS.Active Secret clearance.Must be at least 21 years of age.Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray.Certified in use of Batons.Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.Successfully meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer.1.5 mile run in 17 : 30 minutes19 push-ups in 2 minutesMMPI testKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
