The Pharmacist Coordinator – Compounding and Regulatory Compliance manages daily sterile and non-sterile compounding operations at a centralized pharmacy location that services the health system. The role ensures adherence to USP

, and

standards, as well as FDA and Joint Commission requirements, by supporting safe, accurate, and compliant compounding practices. The Pharmacist Coordinator also monitors inventory levels based on utilization trends, oversees automation workflows, and provides regulatory compliance support related to both compounding and medication diversion monitoring. This position works closely with pharmacy operations, compliance, and quality teams to uphold high standards of safety and accountability.

Responsibilities

Compounding Oversight & Quality Assurance

• Supervise sterile and non-sterile compounding activities using automated systems.
• Coordinate sterility and stability testing with external laboratories; resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and adjust par levels of compounded medications and ingredients based on system utilization trends to ensure availability and minimize waste
• Participate in facility certification, equipment validation, and environmental monitoring processes.
• Ensure documentation standards for batch records, cleaning logs, and environmental testing are met.
• Maintain aseptic technique competency; ensure compliance with USP standards in daily operations.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $116718 - $175078 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
