Job Description
Join the People & Places team as a Staff Change and Program Manager, where you'll serve as a steward of the organization's greatest strategic asset : their people. You'll be part of an experienced and innovative group of program managers driving execution of the most important priorities, working on mission-based teams that create offerings and services to build manager capability, design the workforce of the future, enable career growth, and transform HR technology.
This role combines strategic program management with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can navigate both tactical and strategic work while driving change with excellence. You'll lead complex, multi-phase programs involving multiple contributing teams, manage dependencies, and remove obstacles to achieve strategic outcomes with velocity. The ideal candidate brings both high emotional intelligence and proven frameworks for leading change across organizations.
You'll work directly with VP-level leadership and have high visibility across the organization, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced program manager ready to make significant impact on organizational transformation and employee experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality program and portfolio management plans with specific milestones and roadmaps
- Drive execution across all workstreams and ensure teams operate with extreme ownership to deliver outcomes with velocity
- Lead change management initiatives, understanding impact across multiple functions and developing comprehensive change approaches
- Foster shared accountability through effective operational mechanisms, tracking tools, and escalation processes
- Partner with cross-functional groups including Technology, Legal, Communications, and business units to deliver successful outcomes
- Serve as thought partner to sponsors and directors, contributing to work content and proactively identifying risks
- Drive program roadmaps and dashboards across complex, multi-phase programs with multiple contributing teams
- Facilitate decision-making and drive trade-off decisions when needed to achieve program outcomes
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate work and improve program efficiency
- Manage M&A activity support and onsite strategy execution as needed
- Lead retail footprint or operational transformation programs when applicable
- Connect programs to broader organizational strategy and industry context
Required Experience / Skills
4+ years of program management experience in SaaS-based technology companiesProven experience working with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholdersStrong background in HR programs including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee experienceDeep understanding of change management principles with proven frameworks and tools for leading organizational changeExperience with HR technology and understanding of how HR and technology systems interactDemonstrated ability to quickly earn trust of sponsors and stakeholders at VP level and aboveHigh emotional intelligence with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAdvanced proficiency in SmartSheet and program management toolsExperience leveraging AI tools to accelerate work and improve efficiencyStrong balance of people, organizational, and technical skillsAbility to execute in environments where authority is not givenExcellent communication and presentation skills at all organizational levelsNice-to-Haves

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered).
