Senior Accountant

Well-established CPA firm in the West Hartford area for over 70 years. Seeking a candidate with a senior or manager level of experience. The ideal candidate will be required to have the experience and skillset to work on financial statements, and business tax returns for a diverse range of industries and clientele. In addition, the ideal candidate will be expected to have a basic knowledge of preparing individual income tax returns. Knowledge of CCH Engagement and UltraTax software is a plus. The role would begin with a period of time where the ideal candidate would be trained and expected to learn our firm’s preparation methods (software and firm practices / processes). The ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate they can implement our firm’s preparation methods and work independently by completing financial statement preparation and business tax return from start to finish. Once the candidate has demonstrated they have a thorough understanding of our firm’s preparation methods, the role will grow into training, managing, and reviewing staff’s work.
