Job Description

Job Description

Description :

Life is a collection of experiences, and many of our most treasured memories are created during special events. At Bright, we’re dedicated to turning these moments into more than just memories, we bring them to life with unparalleled event rentals. We strive to exceed expectations by delivering exceptional service and products that elevate every event. Guided by fairness, teamwork, integrity, and efficiency, we take pride in making sure our client’s events are executed on time, within budget, and with style. Our Culture of Gratitude fosters appreciation for one another, our clients, and the work we love. “Simply excellent” isn’t just a tagline, it’s the way we operate every day.

About the Job :

This isn’t your typical sales role.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who sees the world differently, someone who doesn’t just respond to demand, but actively creates it . Your job isn’t just to win business—it’s to envision new opportunities before anyone else does. You’ll be the person who sees a patch of grass and imagines a winter market. You’ll listen between the lines, connect the dots no one else sees, and pitch creative, scalable ideas that expand our reach, revenue, and relevance.

You are not a farmer. You are a hunter, an inventor, a builder .

Job Responsibilities :

  • Discover New Business Opportunities : Proactively identify and pursue new clients, venues, event types, and untapped market segments.
  • Pitch Visionary Ideas : Craft creative proposals that go beyond the ask—transforming simple rental needs into experiential environments and full-scale event concepts.
  • Develop New Channels : Establish relationships with traditional and non-traditional partners—real estate developers, municipalities, entertainment districts, tourism boards, and others who don't yet know they need us.
  • Problem Solve in Real-Time : Walk sites, meet clients, and offer on-the-spot solutions that align with long-term revenue strategy and logistical feasibility.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships : Cultivate new long-term opportunities by positioning our offerings as an essential part of venue success, seasonal programming, and community initiatives.
  • Track Trends & Market Intelligence : Stay ahead of seasonal trends, city permitting developments, and the ever-evolving needs of venues and event producers.
  • Drive Revenue Growth : Set and exceed ambitious sales targets by creating opportunities where none previously existed.

Qualifications :

  • Creative and Entrepreneurial : You have a gift for seeing opportunities others miss and the drive to make them real.
  • A Natural Connector : You thrive on building relationships—especially new ones—and are energized by walking into unfamiliar territory.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity : You’re at ease proposing ideas that haven't been done before and navigating the “what ifs.”
  • Tactically Savvy : You understand event logistics, permitting, site planning, and custom fabrication—or are eager to learn quickly.
  • Sales-Minded, Strategically Driven : You’re hungry to close deals, but never at the expense of long-term value.
  • Detail-Oriented : You can hold a big vision while managing the small details that make it work.
  • Passionate About Events : You love the energy, the scale, the storytelling, and the impact of great experiences.
  • 5+ years in business development, sales strategy, or partnerships—preferably in events, hospitality, luxury services, or design-forward industries
  • Strong CRM fluency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
  • Benefits :
  • Weekly pay
  • Great compensation package to include salary plus bonus
  • Full-time benefits : medical, dental, vision, life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Team member appreciation events, BBQs, company outings, holiday events
  • A supportive, family-oriented culture that values your growth and contributions
