Position : Information Governance Analyst
Location : Century City, CA (Onsite, preferred) or Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Onsite w / 1 day in Century City)
Pay : $75,000 to $105,000 annually
Experience : 5+ years of law firm experience and a deep knowledge of information governance principles, data privacy, and security best practices to coordinate primary information governance (IG) functions under the direction of the firm's Manager of Practice Services – Records.
Education : A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Job Description :
Organize and execute all aspects of IG processes (file intakes, releases, destructions, legal holds, data access procedures).
Oversee matter mobility and facilitate onboarding and offboarding for attorneys to ensure smooth data transitions.
Oversee annual records retention and disposition, executing electronic data disposition and tracking hardcopy data destruction.
Maintain and administer firm Records Management and IG software (FileTrail, Fresh Service).
Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in procedures, functionality, and software integration.
Process electronic data requests, including uploading, indexing, and organizing documents within the Document Management System (DMS).
Maintain department repositories, shared drives, and DMS structures.
Provide guidance to timekeepers on the electronic workspace and matter file management.
Contribute to process, procedure, and technology enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Assist in developing information sharing standards, guidelines, and collaborative space configurations.
Address high-priority access requests, troubleshoot issues, or project work.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned in support of departmental and firm-wide goals.
Position Requirements :
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with attorneys and staff, and be able to manage physical and electronic information resources and file staging / transferring effectively.
Must be skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with records management systems (FileTrail, iRM) and ticketing tools (FreshService, BigHand) and proficiency with document management systems (NetDocuments or iManage) are needed.
Familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet), intake / conflict systems (Intapp security products) preferred.
Familiarity with financial / accounting systems (Aderant) preferred.
