Production / Operations Manager

Our client, a large Commercial Construction subcontractor is actively looking for a for an Operations / Production Manager to lead their installation team for one of their floor underlayment divisions. This is a salaried position that offers competitive pay, amazing benefit package, and a great atmosphere. The right candidate will have experience with large commercial construction projects, managing them from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience with concrete applications.

Responsibilities include -

• Maximize the success and profitability of large customer projects
• Manage relationships with key vendors for assigned products
• Ensure the planning, execution, ordering, and purchasing for all projects
• Track material usage against orders; include costing, man hours, and materials
• Create, track, and maintain samples and submittals, customer orders and releases, and price schedules
• Monitor job sites to ensure production rates are being met
• Communicate with the customer regarding adjustments
• Interview, hire, train, coach, and manage performance of labor personnel
• Manage overall job site performance
• Collect, maintain, and communicate payroll information for all field personnel
• Ensure safe practices of field personnel, including developing, implementing, and tracking safety training
• Determine when and where to use field personnel effectively and efficiently
• Assess job site conditions and provide production estimates to project manager as necessary
• Establish start times, cut-offs, quit times, and transportation for field personnel
• Provide shipper / scheduler with equipment requirements
• Develop a job site project plan in conjunction with the project manager for large jobs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Manage customer relationships at job sites
