Program Director

Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Directs and manages overall daily operations of The CLUB Teen Center with an emphasis on a comprehensive, outcome-driven program that offers a high standard of customer service. This position will offer supervision and training of staff (direct and indirect reports), manage facility environment and utilization, engage in community relations, and oversee membership attendance, growth and retention. The Program Director will advise and assist the Teen Club Coordinator in the areas of volunteer recruitment and management, facility management, personnel issues, budget, and program development.

Responsibilities

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities) :

Leadership

• Provide leadership and direction to the Teen Club Coordinator in the overall management of The CLUB Teen Center.
• Recruit, select, manage, and provide career development opportunities for staff and volunteers. Conduct and attend regular staff meetings.
• Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes, with the overall responsibility for providing a space that is clean, welcoming, aesthetically pleasing, and ensures the safety of the youth, property, and equipment.

RELATIONSHIPS :

Internal : Maintain close, daily contact with professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide / receive information. Interact with The CLUB members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.

External : Maintain contact with external community groups, and schools to promote The CLUB Teen Center. Engage with members' parents and others to assist with conflict resolution, when necessary.
