Senior Engineering Electronics Specialist Seaward Services NSWC

Hornblower is seeking a Senior Engineering Electronics Specialist for our Seaward Services operation in Norfolk VA.

About the Opportunity :

This role will be performed at Naval Surface Warfare Center upon award of contract. The Electronics Specialist provides high-level troubleshooting and technical support for marine electronic and electrical systems including navigation communication power distribution instrumentation and control systems. Performs testing installation calibration and repairs to ensure operational reliability of vessels and waterfront facilities. Documents maintenance actions interprets schematics and ensures systems comply with applicable technical manuals and safety standards. Supports integration of new systems and assists with technical inspections.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform advanced diagnostics maintenance and repairs on marine mechanical systems.
• Install troubleshoot and service propulsion hydraulic HVAC and auxiliary systems.
• Conduct system inspections preventive maintenance checks and technical evaluations.
• Document maintenance activities and update technical records.
• Provide technical expertise during vessel readiness assessments.
• Support engineering investigations modifications and upgrades.
• Mentor junior mechanical technicians and support team training.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
