Warehouse Attendant

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operations in the Receiving Division of the Finance Department at Thistledown Racino.

Essential Functions :

• Receives shipments on Receiving Dock; coordinates work flow to ensure timely delivery of supplies to all departments of Thistledown Racino.
• Communicates receiving discrepancies to the Purchasing department.
• Performs data entry function to receive all PO deliveries into the Stratton Warren IP system.
• Receives mail packages, and logs and delivers them on a timely basis.
• Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.
• Ensures that all shipments are received in good, undamaged condition and of the proper quality.
• Loads and unloads trucks, using fork lifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintains inventory storerooms; places orders, rotates stock on a FIFO basis, fills requisitions, cleans.
• Adjusts pars according to business levels and usage history.
• Assists in conducting monthly physical inventories.
• Ensures all materials handling equipment is properly maintained and daily inspection logs completed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Supports and cultivates new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions.
• Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service.
• Delivers assignments / projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients.
• Clearly communicates programs / services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business.
• Keeps track of existing products / services and / or progress on new initiatives.
• Prepares project plans that aid in moving project forward.
• Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.
• Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.
• Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
• Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.
