Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Utility Worker I & II in Water Distribution. The Utility Worker I & II in Water Distribution reports to the Water Distribution Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include :

• Performs installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on the water distribution system
• Operate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools used in department projects.
• Perform technical duties locating underground water assets in public streets, alleys, utility easements, and right-of-way using GIS maps.
• Responsible for completing vehicle inspection forms and daily work logs.
• Operate heavy equipment, including excavation equipment, backhoe, and vac truck.
• Subject to emergency call-out and must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on stand-by as required. Understanding of a water distribution system.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is an At-Will position, FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation. This recruitment will run through December 30, 2025. Applications will be reviewed once per week, starting Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with a final review scheduled for Wednesday, December 31, 2025. This is a driving position, and a motor vehicle report will be run as part of our pre-employment process.
