Security Support
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Security Support C for the Security Operations team located in Palm Bay, Florida. The Security Support C is a role that supports and understands various areas of Security. The primary role will be supporting the 24 / 7 Global Security Operations Center, utilizing technologies such as access control, video surveillance, fire alarm monitoring systems and intrusion detection systems. The GSOC plays a vital role in emergency management, coordinating responses by various agencies, departments, and stakeholders. Secondary responsibilities include the support of visitors and access control and physical security.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for monitoring and operating security systems including intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance, environmental monitoring, and fire alarm systems.
- Manage and coordinate responses to access control, fire, intrusion, and environmental alarms.
- Perform duties related to Crisis Management and Emergency Operations.
- Initiate, and coordinate responses with emergency responders, internal stakeholders, law enforcement, contract security force, and security leadership during an emergency or incident.
- Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls, to include handling radio dispatches, phone, and email.
- Act as a liaison between L3Harris, contractors, and external vendors, including security guard force and journey management provider.
- Create accurate and timely incident reports, escalating as appropriate and necessary.
- Assist with investigations, video surveillance and access control audits.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, rules & regulations. Identify potential impactful issues and develop effective response measures.
- This position requires shift work. Candidate must be able to work all shifts; 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Qualifications :
DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills :
Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of computer programs to include Microsoft office suite and data entry software.Ability to work alternating shifts, nights, weekend, and holidays as needed.Ability to lift over 25lbs.Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.Experience working in DoD Collateral security environments.Experience working in SAP or SCI security environments.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Able to work under stressful conditions.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsFlexibility, sound judgment, and ability to multitask.
