JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description

Job Summary

The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our company’s hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires a problem-solver who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure all technical operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and peripheral equipment
  • Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring data protection and system integrity
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, connectivity issues, and software malfunctions
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for IT-related services and purchases
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge sharing

Work Experience

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows 10 / 11, macOS),

    • and peripherals.

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security best

    • practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with non-

    • technical users.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

    • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required Certification : CompTIA A+ (or willingness to obtain within 3- 6 months).
  • Preferred Certifications : CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (or willingness to obtain

    • within 12 months).

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in information technology or

    • related field preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of technical support experience or equivalent training.

    • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.
