Clinical Lab Scientist / Quality Assurance / Safety / POCT

Reporting to the Manager of the Laboratory, thisposition is responsible for patient testing as a generalist in Blood Bank,Hematology, and Chemistry with limited Microbiology / Serology testing. QualityAssurance responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and reportingquality improvement data to the laboratory and hospital-wide quality managementgroups. This position is responsible for safety activities, in-services,chemical inventory, and maintaining the quality assurance and safety manuals.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, or Biological Science preferred.
• Completion of an approved internship or formal training program in Medical Technology preferred.
• Expertise in all areas of the clinical laboratory.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES :

1. Current California license as a Clinical LaboratoryScientist
