• Direct Patient Care : Assisting patients with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and feeding.
• Vital Sign Monitoring : Taking and reporting vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Patient Documentation : Recording care activities, food and fluid intake, and any changes in patient condition.
• Communication : Communicating patient needs and observations to nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Emotional Support : Providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Infection Control : Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) : Helping patients with tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Basic Medical Tasks : Assisting with medication administration (in some states), wound care, and catheter care.
• Patient Transport : Assisting with patient transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
