Forklift certification preferred. Strong spatial awareness and sound decision-making with minimal supervision. Mechanically inclined with a strong safety mindset. Ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently in time-sensitive environments. Medium work : frequent lifting / carrying up to 25 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent sitting walking bending climbing and use of hands / feet for vehicle operation. Must pass a respirator fit test and work safely in outdoor conditions. Operate cars small and large trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions within the yard. Support vehicle movement required for real-time dock scheduling. Less than 10% travel required. No supervisory responsibilities. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. CH

Position Overview
The Forklift Operator supports efficient on-site logistics operations with a strong emphasis on cross-dockingmoving materials rapidly between inbound and outbound docks to minimize storage time and improve delivery speed. This hands-on role is responsible for safe equipment movemen t accurate staging and adherence to all facility and regulatory safety standards. The position plays a critical part in maintaining smooth timely and cost-effective yard operations.

Key Responsibilities
Pay : $18.00 to $20.00 an hour - Overtime as needed according to the business
Hours : 6 : 00 - 3 : 30 PM
- Safely operate yard vehicles to transfer bins vans trailers and tanker trucks throughout the facility.
- Support cross-docking by quickly positioning inbound and outbound equipment at designated docks to minimize storage time and accelerate turnaround.
- Ensure wheel chocks and jack stands are properly placed and operational prior to any movement.
- Review MSDS and manifests when handling new or unfamiliar hazardous materials.
- Respond to and clean up spills following established safety procedures.
- Perform routine vehicle inspectionsincluding brakes fuel fluids lights and tire pressureto ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Accurately placard and stage equipment in accordance with permitted storage and compliance requirements.
- Maneuver vehicles safely in tight high-traffic yard areas while adhering to speed limits and site driving rules.
