Under the direct supervision of RN and / or Physician, provides nursing care and assessment to pre- and post-procedure patients. Must be proficient in IV placement. Previous experience in a pain procedure setting is a plus. Duties include but are not limited : to pre-procedure assessment and history taking, IV-line placement, administering medications, post-procedure assessment, and communication with physicians / co-workers, patients, and caregivers.

Other Skills / Qualifications (include / not limited to) :

• Must hold a current Georgia LPN / LVN license and BCLS.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Spanish speaking / Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Communication Skills : Strong customer service skills. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain good relationships with providers and coworkers. Ability to effectively give and receive information from patients, providers, and other clinic employees.
• Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Computer Skills : Prior experience with EMR / EHR is required, and working knowledge of NextGen is a plus. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. PC proficiency and data entry skills.
• Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
