Job Title :
- Payroll Administrator Job Type : Part-time - 24 hours per week to full-time (Starting two to three days a week, and eventually going to full-time as we grow).
- This position is expected to transition to full-time status in approximately six months.
Reports To :
Founder / Director Summary : Processes and prepares semi-monthly company payroll and commission checks, as well as payroll-related reporting such as benefits, garnishment, and employee verifications, and other payroll information requests.Duties and Responsibilities :

Complies with the regulatory standards, policies, and procedures of payroll. processingMaintains a current working knowledge and awareness of the payroll processing system and changes related to wage and tax lawsInterfaces with HR regarding new hires and employee benefit deductionsAssists in processing bi-monthly payrollCreates / runs / edits internal management reports using Excel and QuickBooksSends and communicates payroll-related reports to appropriate partiesEnsures proper employee contribution deductions are in place for medical, dental insurance, 401k etc.Verifies time card completion, ensuring all approval signatures are in place, and provides resolution for any discrepanciesEnters time and attendance information into the payroll systemReviews hours entered into the payroll system for discrepancies / errorsProcesses employee garnishments (wage garnishments, child support, and levies)Ensures that final paychecks are disbursed and all payroll procedures are followed in accordance with relevant federal and state lawsResponds to and researches any issues regarding payrollFiles any payroll information with great detail and organizationAssists with any audits from internal and external auditors and accountantsProcesses staff termination / resignation payroll documentation; processes final checksProvides excellent service to employees as a first point of contact for payroll issues / questionsMaintains the integrity and confidentiality of the payroll system QUALIFICATIONS :Bachelor's degree, preferably in an accounting or finance-related fieldPossesses a minimum of three to five years of experience in payroll processingHas excellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work with salary and other confidential employee information in an appropriate mannerDemonstrates commitment to excellence and high standardsPossesses excellent customer service skillsPossesses strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to multitask and manage competing demands and prioritiesAble to work independently and as a member of the teamProvides attention to detailAble to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levelsPossesses good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsDemonstrates ability to plan, organize, and execute projects and special assignmentsHas versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmProficient in QuickBooks, Payroll - ADP WorkforceNow, payroll reconciliation, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplaceBilingual skills are a plus Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following :Performs some repetitive motion activitiesMust be able to sit for long periods of timeMust be able to lift to 25 pounds Work Environment :Able to work in a moderately loud environment Powered by JazzHR
