Sr Enterprise Architect

Job Description

• We are seeking a results-driven Senior Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in VMware automation and cloud infrastructure.
• This role is critical to the design, implementation, and optimization of global IaaS solutions using vRealize Automation (vRA), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
• As a key member of the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) Team, you will lead architectural initiatives, drive automation strategies, and serve as a subject matter expert across VMware and multi-cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
• Architect, manage, and optimize global vRA and VCD environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot VMware infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Design and implement IaaS solutions using vRA, vRO, and vCenter APIs.
• Develop and customize automation workflows using JavaScript, REST APIs, PowerShell, and Git.
• Create and manage vRA endpoints and deploy new vORGs in VCD.
• Lead vRA 7.x upgrades, including tenant and fabric group configurations.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement VM lifecycle workflows in vRO.
• Deliver proof-of-concept (POC) solutions for production and non-production environments.
• Deploy and manage hybrid cloud solutions, including :
• Azure VMware Services (AVS) and Azure NetApp Files (ANF)
• VMware Cloud on AWS and Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP
• Google Cloud VMware Engine and Google Cloud NetApp Volumes Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in IT architecture, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in vRA, vRO, VCD, NSX-T, and VMware infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and implementing automated IaaS solutions.
• VMware certifications (vRA, vRO, VCD, or related technologies) strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
• U.S. citizenship required due to work in export-controlled environments.Preferred Skills
• Experience with multi-cloud deployments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and methodologies. Questions  1.
