Position Overview

This role will be responsible for the coordination of global fleet services in partnership with our 3rd party fleet management vendor and responsible for vendor and supplier compliance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Source the availability of vehicles, parts, seats, specialty glass and add-on items for car manufacturing contracts / purchase orders (PO).
  • Partner with internal teams to send custom build specifications to dealers, aide in product planning, and manage requirements per client / location, thru deployment.
  • Interface with Internal teams to ensure full alignment on all regulatory compliance issues where mandated contractual requirements / controls are concerned.
  • Liaise with third party vendor for fleet – repairs, reimbursement, and / or
  • Partner with Risk team for fleet collisions, fleet driver records for auto insurance
  • Perform basic accounting functions, including expense tracking, payment submittals to auto dealers, send PO for replacement vehicles and execution of vehicle
  • Distribute ID readers, Fuel Cards placed in fleet vehicles and send to company
  • Report all Class I accidents and positive drug or alcohol findings to State DMV
  • Upkeep fleet driver records and
  • Perform compliance assessments in conjunction with leadership to determine requirements for new projects and remain engaged in current / emerging
  • Review various company contracts established with vendors, while ensuring compliance with the law.
  • Support requirements regarding supplier spend allocation per contract guidelines.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) are highly beneficial.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicles, fleet handling, and custom modifications.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software.
  • Experience in the transportation industry, particularly managing a fleet of approximately 200+ vehicles both domestic and international.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to transportation and fleet management, such as DOT regulations and emissions standards.
  • Contract and Compliance Knowledge :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing a large fleet of vehicles, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis related to fleet operations.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills :

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate successful interactions and negotiations.
  • Team Collaboration : Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters with a team-player attitude.
  • Experience working directly with sales, procurement, and / or operations teams is beneficial.
  • Liaise with third party vendor for fleet – repairs, reimbursement, and / or
  • Organizational and Analytical Skills :

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of this role.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to manage operations efficiently.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills to address and problem solve issues.
  • Quantitative ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
