job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program EI or EIT registration or ability to obtain within 6 months 0-4 years of related transportation design or study experience Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate Proficiency in Microsoft Office required MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer and / or AutoCAD experience with design programs is preferred Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
Responsibilities
- Participate in a variety of projects, including roadway, general engineering studies, preliminary scoping, and final design projects
- Perform a range of assignments, including roadway engineering calculations, analysis, and design; preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; transportation studies; and report writing
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and proactively learn new methods and techniques to solve complex engineering problems
- Interact with clients and the public
