Position Summary
The Senior Manager, IT Terminal & Destinations Operations, will define, mange and oversee every aspect of IT Operations that are required for the successful operation of our embarkation terminal operations as well as our global destinations. This position will oversee multiple teams of internal and external resources, who will work with internal and external stakeholders, including GPS, facilities, local port authorities, and various joint ventures that Royal Caribbean Group is involved with.
The Senior Manager, IT Terminal & Destinations Operations, will play a key role in the development of new destinations or terminal facilities. They will participate as a key stakeholder providing operational feedback in the creation and implementation of our strategic destination and terminal plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for leading the successful IT operations within our global destinations and embarkation terminals.
- Primary point of contact and SME for IT Operations regarding all current and future terminal and destination developments.
- Define the IT operational requirements for all current and new terminal / destination development, to include IT Staffing levels, vendor engagements, hardware, and ongoing budgetary needs.
- Develop and implement standard operational procedures and best practices as they relate to terminal and destination IT operations.
- Develop an incident support process leveraging the current corporate incident framework and tools, to ensure efficient problem escalation and resolution.
- Define and develop a support organization to ensure ongoing success of our terminal and destination IT Operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including GPS, Port Ops, Port Authorities, and vendor / service providers.
- Ensure all IT solutions / operations follow all relevant local, federal, and corporate regulations, policies and standards.
- Ensure seamless communication between key stakeholders (GPS, Port Operations, Brands, IT Executive team) in the event that a major IT related event should occur which has or potentially has caused significant impact to our operations.
- Partner with various internal groups in planning for all irregular operations contingency plans, deviation plans, etc..
- Report to senior IT leadership all current IT operational status through regular real time communication and issuance of periodic reports.
- Develop and maintain documentation library of IT infrastructure within our global terminal facilities.
Financial Responsibilities
Define and manage $1M+ Terminal Support BudgetDefine, scope, and manage Annual Terminal Refresh CARs as needed.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.7 years of experience in IT operations, preferably in the cruise or maritime industry.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cruise embarkation, terminal, and destination operationsAt least 4 years of supervisory experience, with excellent leadership and people management skills.Must apply and qualify for a TSA TWIC credential.Knowledge and Skills
Extensive knowledge of ship-to-shore multi-vessel networks; IT infrastructure / networking; embark check-in technologies and CBP technologies.Extensive knowledge in infrastructure, networking and cyber security Including cloud and on-prem technologies.In collaboration with various IT operating groups, actively verify last mile delivery of IT solutions, infrastructure, and networking components.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the maritime industry.Project Management experience a plusPhysical Demands

Work is primarily office based, with locations that will vary : Global office locations (Miami, London, Manila, etc...) Home Office Destinations Properties globally Ports of Call globallyAt times, work will be required to take place on constructions sites during the development / delivery on new terminal / destination facilities.
