Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of inpatient acute care experience and an active Texas OT license for an assignment requiring AHA BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Inpatient acute care setting
  • 13-week assignment with 8-hour day shifts, 8am-5pm
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • No local candidates accepted within 100 miles of the facility
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy administration to patients upon physician referral
  • Develop and document age-appropriate plans of care based on individualized assessments
  • Accurately document patient treatment and respond effectively to changing assignments
  • Work in collaboration with other clinical team members
  • All certifications must be obtained before consideration
  • COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required

  • Active Texas Occupational Therapist license required
  • Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A. accredited program required; Master's degree highly desired
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OT experience in a United States hospital acute care setting
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • CPI certification mandated by position
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required
  • Two manager or supervisor references from the most recent 12 months preferred
  • U.S. Social Security Number required
