Job Overview :

We are seeking a QE Lead API Testing & Automation to join our team in Englewood, NJ . This hybrid role (3 days in office) requires expertise in API testing and automation for web applications . The ideal candidate will drive quality engineering efforts , ensuring robust and scalable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead QA efforts across web and API projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, etc.).
• Conduct manual API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger .
• Validate API endpoints, payloads, and responses for stability and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts with Selenium, REST Assured, and Java .
• Align test automation with Agile methodologies and in-sprint automation.
• Debug test failures and troubleshoot using GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins .

Must-Have Skills :

Proven experience in API testing & automation (Web + API) .

Strong hands-on experience with Swagger, Postman, Selenium .

Proficiency in Java, TestNG, and REST Assured .

Experience with API automation frameworks .

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI / CD pipelines .

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Experience with performance testing (JMeter) .

Familiarity with Jenkins and CI / CD processes .

Soft Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with engineering and business teams .

Leadership and mentoring experience.
