Job Title : Occupational Therapist (35 hours per week)

Location : Newport News, VA

Facility : Skilled Nursing Center

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team at a 102-bed skilled nursing center in Newport News, VA. This role offers a part-time schedule and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop appropriate occupational therapy plans.
• Help residents develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, and activities of daily living.
• Assess and record residents' activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and for reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and modify care.
• Educate residents and families on treatments and modalities, as appropriate, to ensure a clear understanding of the therapy and its benefits.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with facility procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
