About the Role

The Head of Capital Formation will be responsible for spearheading fundraising initiatives across all investment offerings : leveraging your network to identify and engage prospective partners (family offices, RIAs, HNWIs, institutional investors), then cultivate and manage those relationships to drive capital commitments. You will develop a comprehensive business-development and sales strategy — including outreach (calls, meetings, events), targeted sales campaigns, and ongoing investor engagement — to expand the firm’s investor base. In addition, you will become deeply familiar with the firm's investment strategies, and craft compelling marketing and educational content (e.g. thought-leadership, investment materials, presentations) to effectively communicate value to both internal stakeholders and external investors. You’ll also stay abreast of market dynamics, investor behavior, and advisor trends to inform your outreach and positioning, and continuously seek new firms or channels that align with the firm's investment framework.

Applicants should have at least 10 years' experience in capital raising or investor relations, ideally within alternative investments or multifamily real estate, with a proven track record of raising capital from RIAs, family offices, HNWIs or institutional investors. A strong background in real estate investment structures and familiarity navigating relevant regulatory environments is required. You need excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations. Integrity, a high level of initiative, and a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset are essential, as is the willingness to travel regularly to meet with clients.
