The position is responsible for assisting the School Business Administrator in maintaining the efficient operation of the School Business : Associates Degree in Business or related field and / or comparable work experienceProficient with Google Workspace; experience with Munis preferredDemonstrated skills in business relations and effective interpersonal communicationStrong time management skillsStrong organizational skills attention to detail and follow throughJob Goals : Supports business office activities inclusive of payroll and benefits management accounts payable budgeting and fiscal management facilities food services transportation and school Responsibilities : Accounts Payable : Prepares accounts payable warrants on a weekly purchase order aging and follows up on outstanding open purchase orders as with vendors to ensure proper payment of services and materials; works with vendors to resolve invoice support to school staff regarding all aspects of purchasing and related Management : Assist the School Business Administrator in the analysis preparation and coordination of the annual budgetMaintain file of all non-personnel related contractsAssist with the Medicaid Direct Service and Administrative Claim reimbursement processAssist the School Business Administrator in the maintenance of financial controlsAssist the external auditors in the performance of fiscal and / or compliance auditFacilities : Maintain buildings and grounds inspection and preventative maintenance recordsSupport facilities department in processing requisitions for services and materialsChart energy use and prepare quarterly online facility use calendar ensuring approvals are in accordance with district policyBill rental parties in accordance with district policy and follow-up as necessaryPayroll & Benefits Management : Generate bi-weekly payrollComplete bi-weekly file uploads of retirement filesProvide staff with benefit information as necessarySecurity : Maintain oversight of the districts building access system including an inventory of the districts badge assignmentPrepare new and replacement badges as neededParticipate in district safety measuresOther : Perform other duties as assigned by the School Business Administrator and / or Superintendent of SchoolsMaintain cooperative relationships with staff members parents residents and town employeesTerms of Employment : Full year position 12 month 0.8 FTE position to begin January 2026 exact date to be determined32 hours weekly scheduled to be determinedBenefits to be established by the Superintendent of Schools and by the School CommitteeEvaluation : Annually by the School Business Administrator. Reports to : School Business Administrator
